D'Albertis Castle Genoa

D’Albertis Castel (Castello in Italian), was the home of the eccentric sea captain Enrico Alberto D’Albertis.

It can be easily reached on foot starting from Borgo del Carmine (check out the route) a few steps from via Balbi, or using the Balbi-Montegalletto lift which takes you right in front of the Castle entrance.

Built with Gothic revival appearance between the late 1800s and early 1900s, the castle offers a beautiful garden, the Museum of World Cultures and a breathtaking view of the city from the keep and the balcony.
