One of the most beautiful buildings in Genoa, the Royal Palace was the home of noble families such as the Balbi, the Durazzo, the Savoia and was so called after the Durazzo family sold it to the King of Sardinia at the beginning of the 19th century (go to historical insight)
It is located in the historical center of Genoa, in the charming Via Balbi, a few steps from Genoa Piazza Principe station and is part of the Palazzi dei Rolli system.
Royal Palace Museum preserves the furnishings intact, with precious pieces of cabinetry, everyday objects, works of art by Italian and foreign artists, including Van Dyck, Veronese, Tintoretto, Bernardo, Strozzi, as well as artists of the Genoese school such as Piola, Grechetto, Schiaffino, Parodi.
